Overlooking the City of Osaka, Umeda Sky Building is Japan's first tall building with a rooftop observation deck - the Floating Garden Observatory. Together with its east and west wings, which are joined by a catwalk in the middle and a solarium of sorts at its peak, the Umeda Sky Building rises 170 meters from the ground and provides some of the most stunning views of Osaka.

From the observation floor, an open- air platform in the shape of a ring, visitors have an unbridled, 360- degree view of Osaka. There is also a 'sky garden' in the facilities. The building is an architectural marvel from the outside as well.

The Umeda Sky Building is a spectacular high rise building in the Kita district of Osaka, near Osaka and Umeda Stations. It is also known as the "New Umeda City".

The 173 meters tall building consists of two main towers which are connected with each other by the "Floating Garden Observatory" on the 39th floor. The observatory offers a great view of the city for a 700 Yen admission fee. The Takimi- koji restaurant mall, a replica of a Japanese street of the early Showa Period, can be found on the first basement floor.

Hours: 10a.m- 10:30p.m; Mon- Sun.
