Yodogava Christian Hospital

In 1955, Yodogawa Christian Hospital was opened as a private clinic by Dr. Frank A. Brown, a medical missionary from the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. In the course of its long history, the hospital has been at the forefront in many different areas of medical care.

Presently YCH is considered to be one of the best hospitals of Osaka. It has taken the lead in various areas such as Blood Exchange Transfusions for blood incompatibilities, the development of a unique Medical Social Work office, long term rescue work following the severe Isewan Typhoon, the introduction of hospital volunteer activities, the successful separation of Siamese twins, and pioneering work in the establishment of a Hospice ward for cancer patients.


They strive to provide efficient service as an emergency hospital and to maintain good relationships with these local medical facilities.

The main goal for Yodogawa Christian Hospital is to give glory to God through providing the best medical care possible, by focusing on the physical, and also the social, mental, and spiritual needs of patients through a concept of care.
